Demolishing a building in an Old Town is never a simple choice, to be taken lightly: due to the evident damage conditions of the old building and its configuration that is not in tune with modern needs of space use (also in hygienic-sanitary terms), it was decided to rebuild this building section with a reinforced concrete frame and mixed ceilings, reinforced concrete slab and, partly, a slab composed of inverted beams in laminated wood. The outcome is a contemporary and refined interior design, featuring hi-tech and somehow brutalist touches. Outside there’s an anthracite gray insulating cladding and a roofing of tiles in the same colour. On the road front, the cladding will be applied top quality customised ceramic tiles, to form a graphic patchwork whose purpose is to remind one of Bondano’s symbols, i.e. the stylization of the bell tower.
